Today, most people will interview well and look the part. Getting a job can be a performance art. But it's a sad fact that while 100% of employees are hired for their competencies, 75% are fired because of their behaviour and attitude. While assessments can play a part in the selection and recruitment of staff, such tools can also be applied in a variety of useful ways:

  • to help match the best staff to the best job role or intact team
  • to identify elements which motivate the individual
  • to indicate areas of further personal development for each person assessed
  • to provide a basis for coaching

  What is the Birkman MethodT?

Birkman targets three main areas:

Individual development and personal change
Team development
Organisational development
Consultants meeting a high accreditation standard apply the Method to training and development programmes, culture and organisational change, outplacement, personal coaching and mentoring services.

Within one profiling tool it provides analyses that previously could only be extracted by using a range of other measures or instruments, so saving administrative and client time. It answers such questions as, "What is the match between the development of the organisation and the human talent?"

The Birkman Method generates information that aids better management of people and organisations. What makes Birkman different?

Birkman is non-judgmental. It focuses on the differences between people and how those differences - properly managed - can create more effective teams and organisations.

Birkman is specifically intended as a productivity - enhancing methodology for business organisations. It is not a "personality inventory."

Birkman provides data for clients and consultants to integrate into their development programs.

Birkman can be customised. Custom report formats offer the ability to integrate Birkman data directly into existing development programs and applications. The custom formats mean that the information provided meets the exact needs of the client.

  BirkmanDirect - Using Birkman over the Web
 
 
 

Qualified Birkman consultants can generate and access Birkman data over a secure extranet using an ordinary browser and BirkmanDirect.

Users complete the Birkman Questionnaire over the Web. Data from the questionnaire results can then be accessed immediately.

Consultants create and print a variety of standard and customised reports from anywhere in the world using BirkmanDirect. They can send reports electronically to qualified users directly.

Birkman Direct produces reports for use at individual, team and organisational levels.


 

 

 

 

   
       
 

Birkman Around the World

The Birkman Method questionnaire, and much of the standard Birkman report output, is available in a range of European languages.

The Birkman Method can be used with confidence in cross-cultural contexts, because it has been demonstrated that the methodology accurately measures those differences.
